Jacksonville Men's Adult Baseball League
The Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL)/Men’s Adult Baseball League (MABL) is the premier amateur baseball league for adults 18 years of age and older. Founded in 1988, it is the fastest-growing adult baseball organization in the country. The league has 325 local affiliates, 3,200 teams and 45,000 members who play organized amateur baseball in local leagues, 30 regional tournaments and six national tournaments. Both the MSBL and the MABL plan to expand by establishing local affiliates in communities where programs do not exist, and also by welcoming existing amateur hardball leagues to affiliate. The MSBL is poised to reach 50,000 members in the very near future. If you are an MSBL member you are part of something great! Don’t settle for anything less. The Bold City Kings made a statement on May 20th, rolling over the Arlington Bad News Bears 16–4 in a game that was never really in doubt. The Kings' lineup did damage up and down the order, and the Bears' pitching staff had no answers by the time the final out was recorded. Bold City's offense was relentless. Ivan Prieto led the charge with one of the best individual lines on the day, going 3-for-5 with a triple, a home run, and 4 RBI. Noah Klucker matched him in the run production department, going 3-for-4 with 4 RBI of his own — two of the hottest bats in the lineup delivering when it counted. Corey Quatrine (2-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI) and Christian Levya Morales (2-for-5, 1 triple) kept the pressure on, while Justin Travis (2-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI) and Alex Shall (2-for-3, 2 RBI) filled out a lineup that punished the Bears from top to bottom. On the other side, it was a rough afternoon for Arlington. The Bears' pitching staff actually held the Kings hitless through their combined nine innings — Richard Mendoza, Alexis DeJesus, and Eder Romero each took the ball and allowed nothing — but the scoreboard tells the story that the pitching lines alone cannot. Bold City put up 16, and Arlington never got on the board.
Bears Bludgeon Suns 12-4 Behind Munoz's Two-Bomb Night and Diaz's Dominant Close
The Arlington Bad News Bears rolled into Jacksonville and left with a convincing 12-4 victory on May 13, handling the Suns from wire to wire. The Bears' offense did its damage in bunches while W Diaz slammed the door shut over the final five frames to secure the win. The offensive engine ran through Oberto Munoz, who put on a show at the plate — two home runs, five RBI, and a pair of hits in four at-bats (2-for-4, 2 HR, 5 RBI). That's the kind of night that carries a lineup. Endy Sanchez was equally relentless, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI — every trip to the plate producing a hit, every swing keeping the pressure on Jacksonville's pitching staff. Alexis DeJesus added a home run of his own and chipped in an RBI (1-for-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI), and Dagmar Pena drew two walks and crossed the plate three times to keep the Bears' run column climbing. Then there was W Diaz on the mound. Handed the ball in the third inning, he was simply untouchable — five innings of work, five hits, zero earned runs, and 12 strikeouts (5 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 12 K). Twelve punchouts in five innings is the kind of stuff that makes hitters want to change their lineup slot. Arlington gets the W, and Diaz gets the receipt.

Richard Mendoza was the story from start to finish. The Arlington right-hander went the distance, piling up 12 strikeouts across seven innings while allowing just two earned runs — the kind of outing that makes a lineup look helpless by the middle innings. Mendoza's arm gave the Bad News Bears the foundation they needed, and the offense made sure the margin was never in doubt. Arlington's attack was spread across the lineup. Bryant Arrieche set the table all day, lacing a triple among his three hits (3-for-4, 1 triple, 1 RBI), while Danyer Garcia provided the thunder with a home run and two runs batted in (2-for-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI). Endy Sanchez added a pair of RBI of his own (2-for-4, 2 RBI), and C Vargas made his lone at-bat count with a run-scoring double (1-for-1, 1 2B, 1 RBI). Twelve runs on the board will do that when a rotation of contributors keeps the line moving. Jacksonville got a couple of bright spots in a tough afternoon. Devon Hellett went deep and drove in two (2-for-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI), and Taylor Peterson put together a clean multi-hit game (2-for-3). But with Mendoza dealing and the Bears scoring in bunches, the Indians never found enough traction to make it a contest. Arlington takes this one going away.
Bears Silence Bold City Bats, Ride Combined No-Hitter to 6-2 Win
The Arlington Bad News Bears took care of business on the road June 17, beating the Bold City Kings 6-2 behind one of the cleaner pitching performances you'll see at this level. Arlington scored three in the third, added one in the fifth, and tacked on two more in the eighth to put it away — the Kings never found an answer after their early 1-0 lead. The story on the mound was Oberto Munoz, who threw six innings of no-hit, no-walk ball for the Bears (6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB). Eder Romero opened the game with a quick out, and Israyber Vergara closed it with three clean innings of his own — the trio combined for a complete-game no-hitter, holding Bold City hitless across all nine frames. On the other side, Garrett Johnson pitched his heart out in a tough-luck loss, going 7.1 innings and striking out seven (7.1 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 7 K). The Kings had the hits to work with — just not enough of them to overcome Arlington's offense. Bold City's best bats on the day belonged to Corey Quatrine (3-for-4), Ivan Prieto (2-for-3, 1 RBI), and Esteban Luis (1-for-4, 1 double). The Kings put together a respectable offensive showing against a tough staff — they'll need to find a way to bunch those hits when it counts.
